During the September 2nd holiday, Ba Den Mountain attracted thousands of visitors, immersing them in a vibrant atmosphere with a series of unprecedentedly large-scale events at the highest peak in Southern Vietnam.

"Roof of the South" drenched in the vibrant red of flags and flowers along with lively performances taking place throughout the 4-day holiday National Day . The festive atmosphere blended with the heroic spirit of the national day made Ba Den Mountain the most attractive destination in the South this holiday season.

The most attractive activity is the leaf market of unprecedented scale, recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization with the record “Vietnam’s Largest Mountain-Top Leaf Market”. Lasting for the entire 4-day holiday from August 30th to September 2nd, the Leaf Market is designed on an impressive scale, comprising approximately over 30 stalls offering diverse local products.

Each tourist going up Black Lady Mountain (Ba Den Mountain) by cable car is given a Bodhi leaf to visit the market and choose rustic dishes along with signature dishes of Tay Ninh cuisine. Many lively activities and folk dances create a vibrant atmosphere for the market.

Visitors excitedly check-in with a market space imbued with the rustic, simple characteristics of old Southern Vietnamese countryside markets, and recreate the nation's joy of victory. The stalls are roofed and decorated with familiar natural materials such as tranh leaves, mangrove wood, me bo mats, and dyed red with flags by the staff of Sun World Ba Den Mountain.

This year's September 2nd holiday also marks the first time Sun World Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area organizes a large-scale exhibition, telling the story of the sacred Ba Den Mountain through heroic historical milestones. With the name “Ba Den Mountain - The Heroic Epic Echoes Forever” , the exhibition is a space for visitors to admire historical photos and artifacts marking the heroic imprints of the mountain, which was once the “divine eye” during the resistance wars against the US and France.

Young generation are particularly interested in the exhibition, as they can not only relive the memories of war, but also admire Mount Ba Den with its magnificent spiritual cultural works, making it a spiritual cultural tourist destination for Vietnam and the world.

On the evenings of August 30, August 31, and September 2, the lamp-offering ceremony will be held solemnly on the summit of Ba Den Mountain for visitors to turn towards the homeland during this sacred moment in history.

On the morning of September 2nd, a sacred flag-raising ceremony was held atop Ba Den mountain peak , allowing visitors to turn towards the homeland with pride on the nation's grand festival. To celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, 800 earliest arriving visitors were given free red flag with yellow star shirts to join this especially sacred flag-raising ceremony.

This year's National Day holiday also coincides with the season of Vu Lan filial piety. On August 31st, Ba Den Mountain will host many solemn and meaningful activities for Buddhists and tourists to practice the vow of gratitude and filial piety to their parents, such as chanting prayers for national peace and prosperity, the ritual of pinning flowers on the lapel, artistic performances…

The most anticipated activity for Buddhists and tourists this year's Vu Lan festival is a sharing session with the theme "Mother's Heart" of Venerable Thich Thien Thuan , Deputy Head and Chief Secretary of the Executive Board GHPGVN Ba Ria – Vung Tau. The talk will take place at 5 PM on August 31st, at the Buddhist exhibition center on top of Ba Den Mountain. The candle offering ceremony on Sunday evening, August 31, 2024, is a moment for Buddhists and tourists to send wishes for peace to their parents and offer prayers for the souls of the departed.

With a series of large-scale activities taking place throughout the 4-day holiday of September 2nd this year until the Vu Lan festival, Ba Den Mountain promises to welcome thousands of domestic and international visitors to immerse themselves in the proud atmosphere of the nation's significant holiday.
